Eurasian Customs Union: Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus

The Eurasian Economic Community Customs Union came into effect in July 2010. Its objective is to remove barriers to trade between the countries, abolish external import duties, and harmonize external import duties and customs rules. This also affects certification of electrical equipment imported into the Customs Union.

DEKRA's partner ELMAS and their Samtes test laboratory are now recognized by the Customs Union so we can provide you with the relevant certification services as of 1 July 2011.

There is also a new Customs Code which is largely based on the Russian regulations. However, there are some changes, including changes to commodity codes.
