KEMA GS will become DEKRA GS

As you may already know, KEMA Quality joined forces with DEKRA in November 2009. More expertise, a much wider scope of accreditations and competences, a greater variety of services, and an extended global network. These are the direct benefits of DEKRA and KEMA Quality joining forces in product testing and certification.

Over the past eight decades we've worked hard at KEMA Quality to build a solid reputation, based on issuing reliable certificates to clients around the world. No matter where you're located, these documents provide evidence of compliance with local, national and international regulations.

In a move designed to create an even stronger organisation, KEMA Quality will become fully integrated into the DEKRA brand in a series of gradual steps.

This change of brand will also result in a name change for the GS certification marks. KEMA GS will be replaced by DEKRA GS, thus benefiting from the strong DEKRA brand in the German market. If your company exports products to the German market, you can benefit from this strong brand by displaying the new certificate. As was the case with KEMA-GS, DEKRA-GS stands for quality, safety and trust. That will not change.

From January 2011, all new GS certificates will be issued as DEKRA GS. In the attached Q&A you can read more detailed information about the transition from KEMA-GS to DEKRA-GS.

You can rest assured that we will continue to offer the KEMA-KEUR mark in the future and that current KEMA-KEUR certificates remain valid.
